    BL·04 Install

    From quote to switch-on.

    Your install

    1. Written quote

      You and us

The system, the price after the discount, its expected output and the payment terms, in writing.

    2. Site check

      Our installer

Roof, switchboard and shade checked, and the panel layout agreed with you.

    3. Network approval

      Your distributor

We apply to connect and to export. It usually takes 2 to 10 business days.

    4. Installation day

      Our accredited installer

Most homes take a day. The power's off for about an hour.

    5. Testing and the compliance certificate

      Our electrician

We test everything and give you the certificate of compliance for the electrical work.

    6. Meter set up for solar

      Your retailer's metering provider

Until the meter's changed, your system may not send power to the grid.

    7. Handover pack

      Us

Warranties, the system design, the STC paperwork and the monitoring app, explained.

Network approval times vary by distributor; we chase it and tell you if it moves your date.

10 business days to change your mind if we sold to you at your door or over the phone, as the law requires. We don't door-knock.

No guaranteed savings. Your saving depends on your use, your tariff and the weather. We show a range, and we're happy to be held to our written output estimate.

    BL·05 Questions

    Good questions.

    What are STCs?

Small-scale technology certificates. Your system earns them under the federal scheme, and we take their value off your price. Fewer are earned each year until the scheme ends in 2030.

    Is a battery worth it?

For many homes that use a lot of power in the evening, yes, especially with the discount. If most of your use is in the day, solar alone often pays off sooner. The day curve above shows the difference.

    Who installs it?

Our own installers, accredited by Solar Accreditation Australia. We don't subcontract.

    Do you charge a deposit?

A small deposit when you accept the quote, and the rest after it's switched on. It's all in the written quote.
