Safe in the water, your way.
How we plan the day around you: who needs more support, who watches, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Five questions, for everyone.
Your answers decide how we supervise you, not whether you can swim.
Snorkeller check
Based on Queensland's Safety in Recreational Water Activities Regulation 2024 and its code of practice. Everyone is asked about medical conditions, everyone is counted on and off the boat, and a lookout watches whenever anyone is in the water.
How we watch.
A dedicated lookout, up high with binoculars, whenever anyone is in the water, rotated so they stay sharp.
Every guest, at every site, before the boat moves.
Anyone who may need more support wears red and swims close to the lookout or a guide.
Free, for anyone, and recommended if you're 45 or older or not a strong swimmer.
Tell the crew about any condition. Snorkellers who may be at risk can fill in a short medical form.
On board, with crew trained to use them, and an emergency plan we practise.
Snorkel within your limits.
Feel unwell, tired or short of breath? Stop, float on your back, and raise an arm. Signal early: the lookout would rather come for you twice than once too late.
Stay with a buddy or a guide, and come back to the boat and tell the crew if you don't feel right, even if it passes.
See you on the reef.
Pick a date, tell us who's coming, and we'll send everything you need for the morning.
