Questions

Things new patients ask.

I don't have a Medicare card. Can I still come?

Yes. Overseas visitors and students pay the private fee on the day and can claim from their health insurer. Some countries have a reciprocal agreement with Australia, so bring your passport.

How do I move my records from my old GP?

Fill in the transfer of records form (above) or sign one at the desk. We'll ask your old practice for a summary of your history.

What about My Health Record?

With your permission, we can upload a summary to My Health Record so hospitals and other doctors can see it. You can say no at any time.

Can my teenager see a doctor on their own?

Yes. From around 14, young people can have their own appointment and their own Medicare card. Our doctors explain what stays private and when we'd need to share something.

We'd love to look after your family.

Book a long first appointment so there's time to get to know you, or call and we'll help you choose.
