Standard appointment
For one or two things: a new worry, a repeat script, a certificate, results, or a check on how something is going.
Bring: Your Medicare card and a list of any medicines.
From baby checks to heart health, skin checks to a chat about sleep. Here's what we do, how long it takes, what it costs and what to bring.
For one or two things: a new worry, a repeat script, a certificate, results, or a check on how something is going.
Bring: Your Medicare card and a list of any medicines.
For a few things at once, something complicated, or when you'd just like more time. Book this if you're not sure.
Bring: Anything you'd like to talk through, written down.
Unhurried check-ups at the ages when they help most, including heart health checks and the 45 to 49 year old check. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health checks are available for every age.
Bring: Family health history, if you know it.
For results, scripts, referrals and follow-ups from home. For patients we've seen in person in the past year.
Bring: A quiet spot, and your phone charged.
Growth and development checks, coughs, rashes, ears and everything in between. We keep the toys clean and the pace slow.
Bring: Your child's health record book (the red, blue or purple book).
Vaccines on the National Immunisation Program schedule, given by our nurse, with a doctor nearby. We update the Australian Immunisation Register for you.
Bring: Your child's health record book.
Planning, early pregnancy and shared care with your hospital, so many of your check-ups can happen close to home.
Bring: Any results or letters from the hospital.
Cervical screening (including self-collection), contraception, periods, menopause and breast checks, with a female doctor if you prefer.
Bring: Nothing special. Ask for a female doctor when you book.
The check-up you've been putting off: heart, prostate, bowel screening, sleep, mood and anything else that's on your mind.
Bring: A list of questions. It's easy to forget once you're here.
A head-to-toe look at your skin with a dermatoscope, and a plan for anything that needs watching or removing.
Bring: Wear clothes that are easy to take off, and no nail polish if you can.
Removing moles and skin spots, stitches, ingrown toenails and wound care, booked after a first visit so we can plan together.
Bring: Someone to drive you home if we've told you to.
Time to talk about stress, mood, anxiety, sleep or anything that feels heavy. If it helps, we can write a mental health treatment plan, which gives you a Medicare rebate for sessions with a psychologist.
Bring: Nothing at all. Just come as you are.
Regular reviews and a written care plan, with our nurse helping you between visits. With a care plan, Medicare helps pay for visits to allied health professionals such as dietitians and podiatrists.
Bring: Your blood sugar diary, puffers or blood pressure readings.
Advice for where you're going, the vaccines you need and a plan for your regular medicines. Book 6 to 8 weeks before you fly if you can.
Bring: Your itinerary and vaccination history.
Flu, COVID-19, shingles, whooping cough and more, with our nurse. Many are free for people who are eligible.
Bring: Your Medicare card.
