NewSince 1 October 2026, personal care has no contribution under Support at Home. What it means for you
WC·Rights Your rights

Your rights, plainly.

Your care, your choices, your say. And who to call when something's not right.

WC·02 Concerns

Who to tell.

Not happy? Here's who to tell

In danger right now? Call 000.

How is your care paid for?

Raising a concern will never affect your care. You can do it in your own language with a free interpreter: call 131 450.

    WC·03 Statement of Rights

    Rights you always have.

The Aged Care Act 2024, in force since 1 November 2025, starts with a Statement of Rights. In short, you have the right to:

    • Make your own decisions about your life and your care, with support if you want it.
    • Fair access to care, whoever you are and wherever you live.
    • Safe, good quality care that respects your culture, identity and history.
    • Privacy, and to see the information we keep about you.
    • Be spoken to in a way you understand, in your language, and to raise concerns without fear of losing your care.
    • Have an advocate and the people who matter to you involved.
    WC·04 Privacy

    Your information, kept safe.

What we keepOnly what we need

Your care plan, contacts, health information you share, and notes from visits.

Who sees itYour team, and you

Your carers and care partner, and people you've said can. Ask to see your records any time.

    InterpretersFree, in your language

Call 131 450 and ask for Wattle & Co. We'll arrange an interpreter for visits too.

    WC·05 Talk to us

    Let's have a cuppa.

We'll visit, listen, and show you exactly what your help would cost, before anything starts.
