FW·03 Rosters

What the roster looks like.

FIFO jobs show their roster up front. Here's what two common ones look like over a fortnight or three weeks.

FW·04 Every ad

What every ad tells you.

  • The rate or salary band, and whether super's on top.
  • Casual, part-time, full-time or contract.
  • The roster or hours, and who pays for flights and camp.
  • The tickets and licences you need, and which ones we can help you get.
  • Where the work is, and how you get there.

No pay below the award. Since January 2023 it's against the law to advertise pay that would break the Fair Work Act. We check every rate against the award before it goes up.

Paid trials. If an employer wants a trial shift, it's paid. A short, supervised demonstration of a skill can be unpaid; anything more is work.
