Straight answers.
The questions people ask before they book, and the ones they wish they had.
Before you book.
Do I get a written quote?
Always: itemised, with the rate, the minimum, the depot fee, the cover and what's included, before you pay anything. If we can't see the volume, we'll do a video walk-through first.
How much do I pay upfront?
Nothing. Your written quote holds the date, and you pay when the job's done, never part-way through. Be wary of any mover who asks for money upfront.
Hourly or fixed: which is better?
Hourly is usually cheaper when access is easy and you're organised. Fixed costs a little more because we carry the risk if it runs long, and it's the safer choice when stairs, parking or packing are uncertain.
Is my furniture insured?
Not by us: like most removalists, we insure our trucks. If we damage something through a lack of care, we repair it or pay, as the consumer guarantees require; our quote never says we accept no responsibility. For accidents, theft or loss, transit insurance is optional and issued by an insurer, and your home and contents policy may already cover it.
What if settlement is delayed?
We can hold everything on the truck overnight for $150, or put it into storage at $70 a module a week, with no handling fee. Those charges are on your written quote before you book, so a delay never brings a surprise.
Can you hold my things until I pay?
We won't. The price on your written quote is the price, unless you add items or change the job, and we'll tell you before the clock runs on anything extra.
Do you charge card surcharges?
No. Surcharges on eftpos, Mastercard and Visa ended in October 2026, and we didn't charge them before that either.
