A checklist to tick off, and how the day itself runs, from the knock on the door to the last bed assembled.

CW·02 Checklist

Tick it off as you go.

Book the move and the liftIf either building has a lift, book it for the morning.
Start packing what you rarely useBooks, out-of-season clothes, the garage.
Check your contents insuranceDoes it cover goods in transit? If not, decide on transit insurance.

Label every box by roomFront and top, so it lands where it belongs.
Defrost the freezerEmpty and dry it 24 hours before.
Drain the mower and whipper snipperWe can't carry fuel, gas bottles, paint or pool chemicals.

Keep a box of first-night things with youKettle, chargers, sheets, medicines, documents.
Walk through with the crew leaderPoint out what's fragile and what's staying.
Check the clock with usWe start it at your door and stop it with you at the end.

ArrivalIn your window, with a text first

We text 30 minutes before. The clock starts when we reach your door.

Walk-throughFive minutes with the crew leader

What's fragile, what's staying, where the truck parks.

Loading and the driveWrapped, strapped and driven

Furniture is blanket-wrapped and strapped; the drive between homes is on the clock, travel from the depot isn't.

PaymentWhen the job's done

Card, eftpos or bank transfer, with no surcharge. We never hold goods back for more money.

CW·04 What we can't carry

By law and for everyone's safety, these can't go in the truck.

FlammableFuel, gas bottles, paint, aerosols

Drain mowers and empty barbecue gas bottles, or take them yourself.

ChemicalPool chemicals and pesticides

Ask your council about safe disposal before you go.

PreciousCash, jewellery, documents

Keep them with you. They're usually excluded from transit cover too.
