Keel · Emergency, 24 hours
Water, power or gas: call now, any hour.
A licensed plumber or electrician answers the phone, not a call centre. Tell us what's happening and we'll talk you through making it safe while the van is on its way.

What we treat as an emergency.
Anything that's damaging the house, unsafe, or leaves you without a toilet, power or water. Everything else can usually wait for a same-day visit at the normal rate.
| What's happening | What we do | Do this first |
|---|---|---|
| Burst pipe or water you can't stop | Comes tonight | Water off at the meter |
| Gas smell inside | Comes tonight | Gas off, open up, call from outside |
| No power to the whole house | Comes tonight | Check the street, then the safety switch |
| Sparking, scorching or a burning smell | Comes tonight | Main switch off |
| Only toilet blocked or overflowing | Comes tonight | Stop flushing; turn the cistern tap off |
| Hot water tank leaking | Make safe, fix tomorrow | Cold supply to the unit off |
| No hot water, no leak | Book a visit | Check the circuit or pilot light |
| A dripping tap or a dead power point | Book a visit | Use the estimate |
Guidance for the template. A real site should be checked by the business's licensed tradespeople before launch.
The after-hours price, before you call.
Nobody likes a surprise at 2am. The first half hour, travel and the loading for the time of day are fixed; parts and extra time go on a price we agree before starting.
Sample rates for the template, including GST. Replace with the business's real schedule of rates.
What happens after you call.
1Make it safe, together
We stay on the phone while you turn off the water, gas or power, and tell you what not to touch.
2A time, by text
You get the tradie's name and an arrival time, then a text when they're 15 minutes out.
3Stop it, then price the fix
Tonight we stop the damage. If the proper repair is bigger, we price it in writing and come back at the normal rate.
Straight answers, at any hour.
- Do you really answer at 3am?
- Yes. The on-call phone goes to whichever plumber and electrician are rostered on that night. If they're on a job, they call back within 15 minutes.
- Will my insurer pay?
- Often, for sudden damage like a burst pipe. We photograph everything, write up the cause and send a report you can forward to your insurer.
- The whole street is dark. Should I call you?
- That's the network, not your house. Check the electricity distributor's outage map. Call us if it's only you, or if power comes back to the street but not to you.
- Can a renter call you directly?
- For an urgent repair, yes. Tell us the agency and we'll let them know, and invoice them under NSW urgent repair rules.
Not tonight? Book it for tomorrow.
Leave a number and we'll call you first thing to book a time at the normal rate. Anything getting worse, call 0400 000 000 now.
